About the role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support field operations on a project in Idaho. This position requires a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, with particular emphasis on steel erection standards. The ideal candidate is field-oriented, detail-driven, and capable of holding crews and subcontractors accountable to established safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Enforce compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
- Conduct daily site inspections with focus on fall protection systems, steel erection activities, and high-risk work
- Lead safety meetings, orientations, and task-specific briefings
- Review and approve JHAs, fall protection plans, and lift plans as required
- Monitor high-risk activities including steel erection, fall protection, and rigging operations
- Investigate incidents and near misses; develop corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation
Requirements
- 5–10 years of construction safety experience (required)
- OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction) – required
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) – preferred
- Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, with emphasis on:
- Subpart R (Steel Erection)
- Subpart M (Fall Protection)
- Experience conducting jobsite audits, incident investigations, and hazard assessments
- Ability to develop and implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with field personnel, supervision, and client representatives

Benefits
- Per diem provided at $170/day
