About the role

We are seeking a Construction Representative to join our dynamic team. This role involves inspecting and documenting infrastructure projects such as roads, water mains, and sewers, and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Review and ensure project supervisors adhere to budget and schedule requirements.
  • Perform daily inspections and document construction activities according to project procedures.
  • Maintain a field book and prepare Inspector’s Daily Reports as needed.
  • Report progress to project supervisors, including addressing technical issues and noting any deficiencies.
  • Review plans, specifications, and submittals for assigned work.
  • Provide design or professional assistance to project managers.
  • Maintain company-owned vehicles or equipment as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering or a related engineering field is required, with an EIT certification preferred.
  • Experience with WisDOT is preferred, but recent college graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working on field projects is desired.
  • Desirable skills include proficiency in ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational and efficiency skills are necessary.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is required.
  • A good driving record and valid driver’s license are necessary.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil or Construction Engineering or related field.
  • 0-3 years of working experience with WisDOT.
  • Recent college graduate.
  • Experience working on field projects.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
