Construction Project Manager (Water)

Responsibilities

  • Review constructability during design
  • Develop construction schedules and budgets
  • Oversight of contractor compliance and field inspection activities
  • Administer project documentation and payment applications
  • Resolve construction issues
  • Negotiate change orders
  • Coverage of project closeout activities
  • Support equipment startup, testing, and optimization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • New York Professional Engineer’s (PE) License
  • CCM certifications a plus
  • Minimum of 12-15 years’ relevant experience in municipal water, wastewater, linear infrastructure, dams, and reservoir construction projects
  • Experience acting in a construction management and/or resident engineering role
  • Experience with NYC DEP, DDC, and other NYC agencies
  • Strong experience in schedule reviews and confirming compliance with contract specifications

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including technical report writing
