About the role
Stantec's North Central Water Group is seeking a Senior Construction Manager with extensive experience in heavy civil construction. This role involves supporting clients' goals during the construction phase of projects, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement project controls for construction drawings, contracts, and other documents.
- Maintain compliance with project safety standards and communicate with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and issue change orders, conduct field evaluations, and manage project progress.
- Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, and prepare final documentation for project closure.
- Avoidance of conflicts and coordination with project teams, sharing necessary information.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses for project openings.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, project teams, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in critical path method scheduling.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
- 12 years of construction management work experience.
