About the role
As a CBRE T&T Construction Project Manager, you'll oversee a team responsible for multiple construction projects for small to medium-sized clients. This role is part of the Construction Management function and focuses on light industrial and commercial construction. It is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 3-4 times per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
- Review documentation including contractors’ direct cost payment requisitions, budget status, and subcontracts.
- Prepare Project Status and Construction Risk Assessment reports and seek approval for the release of construction funds.
- Review contract drawings, specifications, and opine for completeness and compliance with standard processes.
- Evaluate the Developer’s direct and indirect cost budget and coordinate with the Cost Advisory group on parameter estimates and quantity take-offs.
- Comment on the terms of construction agreements, including subcontracts, architectural, engineering design, and building loan agreements.
- Ensure Contractor and Architect qualification statements are up to date.
- Oversee construction and disbursement schedules, including zoning approvals, certified surveys, and building permits.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job field while modeling CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values.
- Build consensus and lead by example to reach agreements across teams.
- Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
