Responsibilities
- Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from planning through project completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project execution plans.
- Monitor project costs, approve expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
- Review project contracts, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, schedules, performance, and project requirements.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, manpower, and resources required for project completion.
- Work closely with field supervisors and construction teams to meet production goals.
- Track project progress and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify project risks and develop solutions to address challenges.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, permits, safety standards, and regulations.
- Conduct project meetings and communicate project expectations clearly.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and status updates.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support quality control and successful project delivery.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.
- Experience with civil construction projects including site development, earthwork, underground utilities, and paving preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and project execution.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and costs.
- Knowledge of contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
