Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from planning through project completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project execution plans.
  • Monitor project costs, approve expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Review project contracts, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements, schedules, performance, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, manpower, and resources required for project completion.
  • Work closely with field supervisors and construction teams to meet production goals.
  • Track project progress and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and develop solutions to address challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, permits, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct project meetings and communicate project expectations clearly.
  • Prepare project reports, documentation, and status updates.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support quality control and successful project delivery.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Experience with civil construction projects including site development, earthwork, underground utilities, and paving preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and project execution.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and costs.
  • Knowledge of contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
