About the role

Construction Project Manager – Commercial TI / Tech / Healthcare with a well-established Silicon Valley General Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar project management software to track progress and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and workflow across all project phases.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts thoroughly to understand project scope and technical requirements.
  • Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations to optimize costs and resources.
  • Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for document control, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and daily reports.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines diligently; implement corrective actions as needed to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, resolve issues promptly, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Facilitate effective project coordination by managing schedules, resources, and communication among all stakeholders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, Civil 3D models, and other technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations by reviewing contracts thoroughly and managing change orders efficiently.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols during all phases of construction work.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial/corporate construction experience at a General Contractor.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management in the Construction industry.
  • STRONG MEP-specific knowledge is required.
  • Prior experience with commercial tenant improvement projects is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software (Procore), Estimating Software (Bluebeam), and Scheduling Software (MS Project).
