Job Summary

The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including but not limited to job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFI’s and submittals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, an Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent experience of 3 years or more

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedules
  • Extensive document controls experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of job cost tracking
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Familiarity with Access a plus
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as needed
  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Tracking construction contract design changes and updates
  • Tracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs
  • Coordinating design changes within construction team
  • Aid with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log
  • Aid with development and maintenance of project schedule
  • Aid with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs
  • Prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Offering $80,000 - $95,000

  • PTO accrual of up to 120 hours in a full year (subject to plan terms thereafter)
