About the role
The Construction Project Engineer will play a crucial role in managing the Los Angeles World Airports ATMP Landside Improvements Project. HDR will oversee the design, pre-construction, and construction phases, ensuring that the project meets the needs of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) campus.

Requirements
- Experience with Caltrans and/or City of Los Angeles projects
- Familiarity with Progressive Design-Build, Design-Build, and/or CMGC delivery methods
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Experience with interpreting construction schedules
- Understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
