About the role
The Project Engineer supports the project team in various functions, including job cost tracking, schedule tracking, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
Responsibilities
- Tracking construction contract design changes and updates
- Tracking of project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs
- Coordinating design changes within construction team
- Assist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log
- Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule
- Assist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs
- Prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- A working knowledge of construction methodology and managerial processes at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, an Electrical Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience of 3 years or more
Skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction schedules
- Extensive document controls experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of job cost tracking
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Access (a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, make decisions, and contribute as needed
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay
$80,170.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Background check, credit check, MVR, and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
