Key Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to solve field and design issues.
- Develop technical solutions in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Ensure adherence to technical standards and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the creation and management of project schedules using GANTT or PERT charts.
- Monitor progress and flag potential delays or issues to leadership.
- Contribute to project execution to meet deadlines and budget targets.
- Perform accurate material takeoffs and source required materials.
- Develop scope of work documents and evaluate subcontractor alternatives.
- Organize procurement schedules and track vendor performance.
- Provide consistent project updates to ownership and internal stakeholders.
- Cookordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain progress and resolve challenges.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering teams and on-site staff.
- Develop pricing for proposed changes and negotiate outcomes.
- Manage Change Order execution from approval to payment application.
- Support project budgeting processes and ongoing cost control.
- Prepare monthly billing applications and coordinate owner acceptance and payment follow-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (required).
- 3–5 years of construction experience in the field, ideally on commercial or government projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards, and materials.
- Proficiency in reading drawings, managing schedules, and coordinating resources.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead by example, adapt to shifting priorities, and take initiative.
