About the role
Bering Straits Global Innovations, a company within the BSNC family, is seeking an entry-level Construction Management position. The successful candidate will support current contracts in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, Bluemont, VA, and other future locations, based out of the BSNC Office in Hanover, MD.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Project Manager to plan and organize projects and sub-projects with complexity.
- Drives and monitors daily progress of project work packages and activities to meet the project schedule with project team members.
- Aids in developing a project schedule and Statement of Work (SOW).
- Provides detailed updates to the project team.
- Organizes and maintains project documentation and artifacts, trackers, and reports.
- Manages and oversees Definable Features of Work Submittal packages with Superintendent.
- Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
- Fulfills all required ISO procedures, complies with all work exposure EH&S training requirements.
- Maintains a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
- Supports overall project quality and reviews all trade contractors' means and methods in accordance with project contract documents with the Project Superintendent.
- Reviews and analyzes submittal data on the product specifications, scopes of work, plans and engineer reports to determine the finished product meets the quality and reliability expectancy of the Client.
- Develops the Request for Information (RFI) process to ensure that all RFIs are properly and timely logged and that the information requests are reviewed and then forwarded to the appropriate people.
- Supports testing programs will be conducted throughout construction to verify that all materials and installations are as specified; in addition to mandatory "milestone" inspections or tests, supports the Quality Control (QC) who monitors all aspects of the construction daily to verify contract compliance.
- Oversees plans, coordination, and the project program as designed, to ensure continuous production of projects are consistent with established standards.
- Performs random project site audits for all stages in the production process and inspects materials for specifications and contract compliance.
- Interacts effectively with the USACE/NAVFAC Quality Control personnel.
Qualifications
- US Citizen
- 4-Year College Degree
- USACE Quality Control Certification (can be obtained after employment)
- OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment)
- Current or ability to get a security clearance is preferred
- Current certifications for First Aid and CPR (can be obtained after employment)
