Duties And Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Prepare for and participate in pre-construction, scheduling, design review, and project kickoff meetings to align on quality control requirements and expectations.
- Support the Project Manager in developing project budgets, schedules, and construction service plans for key scopes of work.
- Partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to plan and allocate resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
- Track subcontractor and supplier performance to support on-time delivery, productivity, and quality standards.
- Aid with procurement activities and support cost control and change management processes.
- Champion CLP’s safety-first culture and partner with the EH&S Director to communicate, implement, and reinforce jobsite safety standards.
- Create, review, and track submittals to keep approvals moving and field work on schedule.
- Develop, schedule, and implement procedures to track the control-phase meetings required under the three-phase control system.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and other project documentation to support quality and contract compliance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field required (equivalent related experience may be substituted).
- 2–4 years of experience in industrial/commercial construction, including fieldwork and familiarity with construction materials and building systems.
- Previous experience with federal government contracting and/or federal construction activities is preferred; public works experience is also applicable.
- Experience with project/document management tools such as Bluebeam Revu, Procore, and/or related software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Project).
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills, and the ability to track and communicate project information accurately.
- Self-starter who is organized and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and take initiative.
- Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize priorities and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to obtain EM 385‑1‑1 training prior to site access.
- USACE CQM certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
