Construction Project Analyst Position

The Company: Intrinsic Development is a full-service real estate development company specializing in upscale multi-family and commercial mixed-use developments. Our organization has built over 3.5 million square feet of projects and is expanding into Lee's Summit, Missouri, where we will develop a 260+ acre mixed-use development featuring approximately 2,900 luxury multi-family units and over 660,000 square feet of retail, office, entertainment, hospitality space, and other related commercial uses.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and report job costs across multiple construction projects
• Review and verify project budgets, change orders, and cost codes
• Aid in budget development and forecast projections
• Maintain oversight of actual project costs versus budget and identify variances
• Collaborate with project managers to review cost data and provide actionable insights
• Monitor labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Reconcile project costs against budgets and forecasts
• Generate timely and accurate job cost and variance reports
• Prepare monthly cost reports and support month-end closings
• Ensure proper coding and documentation of job-related transactions
• Perform audits and assist with internal/external reviews

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in construction accounting or job cost accounting
• Strong knowledge of construction cost accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software
• Excellent Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of construction contracts and billing methods (AIA)
