AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals as a Project Accountant in our Phoenix or Los Angeles offices. Supports moderately complex project(s), working under general supervision. Prepares various financial reports and provides analysis and recommendations based on findings. Requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner. Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices. Performs audits and generates special financial reports. Reviews projects for accurate revenue recognition and provides project analysis and recommendations based on findings. Matrixed environment, reports to local Project Executive and Regional Controller.

Responsibilities
- Support moderately complex project(s) under general supervision.
- Prepare various financial reports and provide analysis and recommendations based on findings.
- Maintain records according to generally accepted accounting practices.
- Perform audits and generate special financial reports.
- Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, or relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience, or
- A/AS and 4 years of relevant experience, or
- HSD/GED and 6 years of relevant experience, or
- Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Construction project accounting experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in construction accounting.
- Experience with construction financial documentation.
- Strong Excel skills.
- CMiC or Textura experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate ownership of processes.

Pay
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $58,380.80 to $102,166.40 per year.
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position will be located in either Los Angeles, CA or Phoenix, AZ.
