About the role
AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals as a Project Accountant in our Dallas, TX offices. This role supports moderately complex project(s), working under general supervision. You will prepare various financial reports and provide analysis and recommendations based on findings. The position requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner while maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting practices. Responsibilities include performing audits, generating special financial reports, reviewing projects for accurate revenue recognition, and providing project analysis and recommendations. This is a matrixed environment, reporting to both a local Project Executive and Regional Controller.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various financial reports and provide analysis and recommendations.
- Maintain records according to generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP).
- Perform audits and generate special financial reports.
- Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Finance, or relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience, or
- A/AS and 4 years of relevant experience, or
- HSD/GED and 6 years of relevant experience, or
- Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Construction project accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with construction financial documentation.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate ownership of processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMiC or Textura experience.

Pay
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $58,380.80 to $102,166.40 yearly.
