Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance tree health and prevent plant diseases.
- Assist in wildfire prevention efforts through vegetation management and prescribed burns.
- Design and install sustainable landscape solutions that meet client needs and environmental standards.
- Collect, analyze, and manage GIS data to support project planning and decision-making.
- Conduct ecological assessments and provide consulting services on natural resource management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in forestry, horticulture, ecology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in tree and plant health care, utility services, or related fields.
- Knowledge of plant biology, ecosystem dynamics, and sustainable practices.
- Proficiency in GIS software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse teams.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Skills
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna.
- Experience with pruning, planting, and maintenance of trees and plants.
- Understanding of fire behavior and suppression techniques.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations related to tree and plant health care.
