Construction Observer

About the role

The Kansas City, MO office of Lamp Rynearson is seeking a Construction Observer to join their team. This position is ideal for an energetic field representative with experience in public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Accurate monitoring and documentation of construction projects
• Affirmation that the project adheres to project plans and specifications
• Interpretation of civil engineering plans and specifications with attention to detail
• Effective communication with contractors and the project team
• Problem-solving skills to address issues on-site
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
• Physical capability to maneuver around construction sites and lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work overtime, including Saturdays as needed

Requirements

• Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Surveying experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, Adobe, or Bluebeam software
• Valid driver's license with liability insurance and a clean driving record
• Dependable personal vehicle to access project sites
