Construction Materials Testing Technician

About the role

Kleinfelder’s Tulsa Office is looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex testing of construction materials in the field for the purpose of verifying suitability and conformance to industry and construction specifications and to provide design parameters for our Geotechnical Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures
• Perform accurate computations using basic to intermediate math including some algebra
• Maintain cordial relationships with co‑workers, clients, contractors, etc.
• Work with a team in a challenging, fun, and fast‑paced environment toward a common goal
• Exhibit a dynamic work style that includes multi‑tasking and the ability to quickly shift focus from one task to another when needed
• Willingness to occasionally travel

Requirements

• 1+ years of construction materials testing experience
• Basic to intermediate computer skills with MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook
• Basic to intermediate math skills
• Ability to read and understand a test procedure

Qualifications

• Preferred certifications (or ability to obtain at least one within 6 months of hire): ACI Concrete Field Technician, ODOT Materials Sampling Technician, Nuclear Gauge / Troxler / Radiation Safety
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
