Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician

About the role

This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking a Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician in Grovetown, GA or Augusta, Georgia to support commercial, industrial, transportation and nuclear related construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab classification and index property testing of soils
• Perform density testing of soils
• Sample and test concrete in the field and lab
• Analyze or calculate testing data to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness
• Maintain compliance with project specifications by monitoring work procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years of related experience on variety of complex projects preferred
• Certifications might include a combination of ICC soils, ACI concrete, ICC concrete reinforcing steel, and ICC masonry
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Reliable to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
• Ability to prepare reports and documentation
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in variable outside conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy

Pay

The pay range for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
