Responsibilities
- Travel to construction sites to inspect contractor work
- Perform basic field soil and concrete tests under supervision
- Input field reports and test results on smart devices for immediate review
- Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff about construction issues
- Develop employees' career aspirations and potential
Requirements
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Prior construction or field testing experience preferred
- ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications in soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry (optional)
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and manuals
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple variables
- Writing routine reports and performing calculations for field and laboratory tests
- Basic math skills for volume calculations and inspection of constructed work
- Physical ability to walk, stand, lift up to 70 pounds, and drive
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Related construction or field testing experience
- ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications (optional)
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong reading and interpretation skills
- Problem-solving and communication abilities
- Basic math skills for calculations and report writing
- Physical stamina for walking, standing, lifting, and driving
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Skills
- Field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry, and concrete
- Preparation of detailed field reports with test results and observations
- Laboratory tests on soil and concrete
- Site and subgrade condition evaluation
- Communication with clients, contractors, and staff

Schedule
Regular travel to job sites is required, with flexible scheduling to accommodate fieldwork.
