About the role
The Construction Materials Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing various construction materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test concrete, steel, and other building materials to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and material specifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections and tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction materials inspection.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment and software.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with quality assurance systems.
- Understanding of environmental impact assessments.
