Construction Materials Technician

Responsibilities

• Test concrete for slump, density, and moisture in the lab.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory with proper documentation for further analysis.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in both written and digital reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Participate in progressive training and take on increased responsibilities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in testing concrete.
• Familiarity with construction and laboratory environments.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ACI Certification or similar certifications like KYTC, ICC.
• 2+ years of experience testing concrete/soil required.

Work Environment

• Primarily works in a laboratory setting.
• Typical working hours are Monday through Saturday, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours.
• During the summer, expect to work more hours than in the winter.
• Overtime compensation is available after 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
