Construction Manager, Lead
About the role
The opportunity involves managing design and construction projects, particularly those related to hypersonic testing facilities. You will support projects ranging from $1.5B in value, covering repairs, renovations, space alterations, and building improvements.
Responsibilities
- Support design reviews and ensure designs are accurate and compliant with federal standards.
- Attend and participate in design kick-off meetings, review meetings, and other relevant meetings.
- Provide support during both the design and construction phases, including record keeping, budget cost accounting, scheduling, submittals review, progress payment reviews, safety inspections, testing, claims, labor provisions, progress photographs, final inspection, substantial completion, and settlement.
- Coordinate all phases between users, plant resources, outside vendors, and contractors to achieve preferred outcomes within budget and timeline.
- Conduct follow-up on cost, budgets, job control, materials, tools, and related items pertinent to projects.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience managing design and construction projects.
- Experience managing individual projects and a program of projects.
- Knowledge of architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm or sprinkler systems, control systems, and space renovations.
- Knowledge of national, state, and local laws and codes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, including multi-phase projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, tenants, and government agencies.
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Nice to have: Experience with hypersonic testing facilities, research facilities, and other complex facility types; experience with facility project cost estimates using RS MEANS data and tools; knowledge of Hypersonic Test Facility Accreditation requirements; Secret clearance; CCM Certification.

- Construction Management Association of America Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification.

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Work model options include remote, hybrid, or onsite, depending on the role and customer needs.
