About the role

Caturus, LLC, an integrated natural gas and LNG company, is seeking a leader to join us as a Manager, Construction. The Manager, Construction is responsible for managing all construction safety, planning, coordination, and field execution activities in support of project objectives. This position will be located on site in Louisiana and will oversee construction activities across multiple project scopes from early works through commissioning readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Safety is the paramount priority when planning and executing all construction activities.
  • Manage contractor’s project team by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope of work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood during execution of works.
  • Understand and ensure HSSE procedures are followed by all personnel working on site.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for making sure contractors are working within the provisions and guidelines of their Quality Management Systems relevant to their scope of work, contractor testing and inspection activities, and verify reports on labor, material, and equipment on site.
  • Oversee construction activities related to the following scopes of work: Early Works, Civil, Pile Installation, Module Installation, Tanks, Marine Works, Instrument and Electrical, and Buildings.
  • Provide field construction assistance and problem solving based on previous experience.
  • Report on project status, performance, constraints and issues to Senior Management.
  • Directly responsible for the coordination of work activities performed by EPC contractors and other Owner’s contractors.
  • Review and monitor construction schedules, productivity, and resource plans to ensure execution aligns with project milestones and objectives.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Science or a relevant field is preferred. Equivalent relevant construction experience will be considered.

  • 15 plus years of relevant experience required, with no less than 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • 5 plus years of LNG experience required.
  • Gulf Coast experience preferred.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale industrial construction activities across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, marine, and module installation scopes preferred.

  • High commitment to the HSSE processes and understanding of the importance they have on the long-term success of the project and asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within project deadlines, and adjust as priorities change.
  • Possess the ability to mentor others through technical training and guidance on planning and scheduling.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs, Civil/Structural plans and details, Electrical wiring diagrams, and Piping Isometrics.
  • Broad knowledge of Codes, Standards, and Industry Best Practices.
  • Ability to analyze project schedules and related reports and provide input towards optimization.
  • Have advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel work products.
