Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Affiliate with the Construction Group to oversee capital projects from inception to completion.
- Participate in project teams to draft project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Attend site field and scope visits to assist in project development.
- Create detailed construction plans and identify necessary permits.
- Develop bid packages and select vendors based on responses.
- Organize and lead pre-bid meetings with contractors.
- Collaborate on design constructability reviews to minimize costs.
- Create detailed construction plans, including outage requirements and resource needs.
- Identify and address project safety hazards and environmental concerns.
- Maintain and report on the project construction schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during construction.
- Oversee the construction process and ensure as-built documentation is completed.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to Utility Company procedures and processes.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management; Requires more than one (1) year of experience in electric utility transmission & distribution, construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Superior interpersonal, leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Prioritizes effective verbal and written communication.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Must have clear speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must have sufficient vision or other observational abilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform routine office duties.
- Must have personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations as needed.
