Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all construction activities to achieve 100% completion on schedule, within budget and in conformance to plans, specifications and standards
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant information to the customer on a weekly basis
- Maintain effective construction schedule while identifying and solving problems before they affect critical path to on time delivery
- Keep the Area Construction Manager and appropriate parties informed about production status and issues that may impact delivery of the Mission
- Be prepared for weekly backlog meetings and neighborhood meetings with the sales team
- Maintain an organized job site including the construction office
- Enforce company safety policy with trade partners and company employees
- Effectively manage communication between Sales, Closing Coordinators, and Purchasing as needed
- Commands respect of customers and vendors through consistent delivery of commitments and expectations
- Exhibits tact, consideration, and patience in difficult situations
- Interacts and communicates clearly with coworkers, clients and vendors in a courteous, friendly manner
- Approaches sudden, unexpected challenges effectively with confidence
- Adequately and accurately orders required materials
- Direct all trades to achieve completion of scheduled tasks on time and in conformance with plans, specifications and scopes of work
- Understand of inspection requirements and preparation of homes for inspection
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties
Additional Requirements
- This is an on-site position based in the Tampa, FL area, and will require relocation if you are not currently located in the area
- This is an exempt role, which may require working more than eight hours per day
- Being authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is a precondition of employment
