Job Responsibilities
- Perform construction management activities and assist in the administration of roadway/highway and bridge construction projects.
- Aid in business development activities within the CEI practice.
- Assist with recruiting efforts for construction managers, engineers, and inspectors.
- Provide training and mentorship to CEI staff.
- Serve as Project Manager on select projects as needed.
- Provide quality oversight of CEI staff on project activities and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with clients.
- Aid in the technical development of proposals and qualification packages.
- Read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications.
- Effectively communicate with project staff and clients, both verbally and in writing.
Specific Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Virginia Professional Engineer License, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM) preferred.
- 10 years of highway construction or design experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements).
- Previous experience working with VDOT and Virginia municipalities.
- Skilled in technical report writing and communicating with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to lead construction teams on transportation projects.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Range: $111,362.75 - $127,271.72
