About the role

This position oversees a team of Construction Management professionals and support staff in project and program construction activities. The role leads the delivery of construction projects (or the construction portion of an EPC/EPCM project) for the firm’s external clients. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding and application of construction management competencies, mastery in selected areas, and familiarity with the technologies and delivery methods underpinning project solutions. The role is responsible for delivering results on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while achieving project objectives and value-added expectations. The candidate will act as a prime company contact with clients and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a proactive safety culture and safe work protocols for all project sites.
• Manage large construction projects of above-average complexity.
• Serve as the company’s primary contact with clients, ensuring overall construction work progress and technical performance.
• Collaborate with company management and project delivery leadership for oversight and mentoring.
• Support the development of less experienced construction managers through coaching and mentoring.
• Leverage industry suppliers and resources to build effective project teams for industrial projects.
• Understand construction scheduling, risk management, and contracting strategies to mitigate project risk.
• Oversee the project services group, including project control, procurement, and estimating.
• Lead and manage the construction project team through Front End Loading, project buyout, contract negotiations, site mobilization, execution, and demobilization.
• Ensure onsite activities such as construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and field engineering are completed efficiently.
• Deliver project scope to client satisfaction while meeting company HS&E, quality, financial, risk management, and business policy expectations.
• Lead or contribute significantly to business development activities, including client relationship development, proposal preparation, presentations, and contract negotiation.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or another applicable field.
• Minimum of 15 years of on-site construction experience.
• Self-starter with a high motivation level and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects.
