The Role

Salary: $100-120k
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager, ideally with a scaling corporate retail brand.
- Sector Expertise: Strong experience managing commercial tenant buildouts, commercial remodels, and/or fitness / retail rollouts.
- Vendor Management: Proven ability to source, qualify, and manage a network of external consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving cross-departmental timelines and managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of commercial construction processes, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) requirements (crucial for fitness clubs), and reading construction drawings/contracts.
- Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple project sites simultaneously across different locations in a fast-paced environment.
- Systems: Proficiency with modern construction management tools (i.e., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically on national retail rollouts, hospitality, or commercial fitness/wellness spaces.
- Familiarity with design-build models, design-bid-build processes, integrated design models, and managing projects with compressed, aggressive schedules.
- Experience using design software like AutoCAD or Revit.
Administrative & Physical Requirements
- Licensing: Must possess a valid US driver’s license.
- Office Commute: Ability to commute to our corporate office in Manhattan at least once a week for team meetings and alignment.
- Site Travel: Necessity to travel via personal car to active job sites along the Eastern Seaboard as required by project schedules. (Note: Business mileage accrued for site visits will be fully expensed at the applicable standard US government rate).
- Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to all job site safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and regional regulations specific to the state in which the project is located. Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on-site is mandatory.
- Physical Demands: Ability to navigate active, unconditioned construction zones, stand or walk for extended periods during site inspections, and occasionally lift and carry equipment or project materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
