Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee each project from conception to completion, interfacing with construction and engineering professionals and the contractors to ensure each project meets financial objectives.
  • Works under project deadlines in planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process from allocating internal resources to hiring contractors and working with engineers and vendors.
  • Manage all day-to-day aspects of assigned construction projects
  • Manages multiple intermediate to large capital projects simultaneously
  • Accountable for front end construction planning, estimate development and analysis and contract management
  • Provides input in QA/QC staffing plans, construction cost/schedule management and liaison activities with stakeholders
  • Provides input on contracting strategy and contractor qualification/selection
  • Reviews contractor schedules, execution plans, and extra work claims
  • Develops and manages construction progress reporting
  • Performs audits of inspection processes and documentation requirements
  • Leads construction closeout
  • Anticipates and proactively addresses potential issues and claims
  • Provides onsite leadership to inspection team
  • Analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relative field construction experience in a relevant industry
  • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience
  • Prior experience handling administrative responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines, while maintaining a high level of detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to produce high quality emails and messages to individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, works well individually and on teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to prioritize and multitask

Working Conditions

  • Driving on a daily basis, requiring a valid driver's license and ability to drive safely in different types of weather conditions to various locations.
  • Will be working outdoors in adverse and/or extreme weather conditions.
  • Works in temperature extremes due to both weather conditions and operating equipment.
  • Will be working in conditions where frequent loud noises occur.
  • Will be working in areas where hazardous materials require the prolonged wearing of PPE.
  • Will be working in close quarters while kneeling, sitting, squatting, standing, or lying down while holding tools and/or equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
