Construction Manager

About the role

Geosyntec is seeking a Construction Manager in our Sacramento or Davis, California offices. The ideal candidate will manage various civil earthwork, infrastructure, environmental remediation, landfill construction, and related projects. Responsibilities include overseeing the construction process, communicating with clients and engineers, and representing clients in large projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction work in compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and work plans
• Communicate design modifications and concerns to the Engineer-of-Record
• Implement and adhere to health and safety plans, guidelines, and best practices
• Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
• Review and approve CQC procedures and material submittals
• Maintain project files and records
• Monitor construction progress and optimize CPM tasks
• Prepare and issue field change requests and change orders
• Review and approve field documentation and laboratory tests
• Establish and maintain field offices
• Manage project staffing
• Interact with project personnel and participate in meetings
• Drive and transport to client or company sites

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 10+ years of relevant construction management experience
• Associate degree or diploma and 8+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in construction science, management, engineering, or related fields and 5+ years of experience
• Technical understanding of construction quality assurance and management procedures
• Experience managing infrastructure or environmental remediation projects
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and work in varied locations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
