Responsibilities

  • Oversee field and construction activities that includes, as needed and approved by AUS, construction coordinators and other CM support staff.
  • Varies extensively depending on the degree of AUS construction contract oversight activity.
  • Performs QC checks on their own work product and that of their staff.
  • Supports the APM in coordinating with other COA departments (i.e. Capital Delivery, CPEAT, DSD, Finance, etc.).
  • Aid APM, PM, and CDPM in change management & scope development.
  • Liaison between contractors and internal field AUS stakeholders (i.e. Maintenance, Operations, Security, etc.).
  • Attend Contractor Progress (OAC) meetings, punch walks, mockup reviews, etc.
  • Verify the construction contractors’ mobilization schedules including recommendations to APM for approval of contractual requirements before issuance of Notice to Proceed.
  • Has a detailed knowledge of the preparation, updating, and maintenance of the project schedule(s).
  • Supports the review and negotiations of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) field costs, equipment, and General Conditions (GCs).
  • Work with AUS’s Environmental Officer to monitor compliance with all environmental requirements.
  • Oversee construction monitoring and associated reporting as required to confirm Contractor compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Ensures that project site and company assets are secure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment at all times by coordinating with ROCIP team, AUS safety and risk management teams.
  • Provides input to monthly pay-application reviews so the APM and CDPM can finalize the billing.
  • Review Daily Construction Reports prepared by COA construction coordinators and weekly work plans to achieve schedule compliance.
  • Supports the contract change order review process, including review of contractor estimates, negotiate change orders, and assist APM to obtain required approvals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry.
  • A solid understanding of current environmental codes and regulatory requirements applicable to airport-related construction.
  • Familiarity with minimum code requirements and capability to navigate design documents and contract specifications.
  • Strong communication skills essential for coordination with the Contractor and a wide range of stakeholders, including the ABIA executive team, Airlines, ABIA Operations, Environmental teams, and others.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and SharePoint.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Guiding diverse teams, resolving conflicts, and keeping morale high on-site.
  • Communication: Clear, concise interaction with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders—both written and verbal.
  • Time Management: Juggling multiple timelines and ensuring projects stay on schedule.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly addressing unexpected issues like weather delays, supply shortages, or design changes.
  • Adaptability: Construction sites are dynamic, being flexible and calm under pressure is key.
  • Negotiation: Managing contracts, budgets, and vendor relationships with confidence and fairness.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with regulations.

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • P6 Proficiency

Pay

$125,100.00 - $225,200.00
