About the role

We are seeking a Construction Management Project Director to join our team in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Is accountable for the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and firm strategy.
  • Oversees a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, regulatory standards, and firm-wide strategic priorities.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project status, risks, and performance with the Project Managers to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery across the portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level client interactions, fostering trust and ensuring stakeholder expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Provide guidance on technical approaches, design standards, and technical deliverables to ensure excellence and compliance with regulations.
  • Support project managers in resolving constraints or competing priorities.
  • Establish portfolio-wide governance structures, lead risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across the portfolio, escalating critical issues and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with project teams and the Project Manager.
  • Track key performance indicators, participate in business reviews as needed, and support data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor project managers and technical leads, promoting a collaborative culture and professional growth within the practice.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to internal quality standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, proposal development, and client presentations to support growth and innovation in transportation consulting services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree is highly desirable.
  • 12 years professional experience in construction management and inspection in a quality assurance role and 6-8 years PM experience.
  • Position requires a Colorado PE license.
  • Strong financial management, team management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Skills

  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Excellent team management and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Knowledge of construction management and inspection practices.

Pay

Expected compensation range is between $170,000 - $200,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
