ELS is the ideal organization for a long and successful career. We are seeking a Construction Project Manager in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of construction budgets and development projects
- Setting and executing strategy and objectives for the region
- Managing multiple projects, working with professional service firms, and communicating with Senior Management
- Supporting ELS Western markets
- Managing new community developments from conception to construction projects
- Collaborating with third-party professionals for design and development of communities and amenity buildings
- Working with local municipalities during preliminary reviews and final approvals of construction projects
- Managing restoration and upgrade projects
- Updating and providing knowledge of specific projects in the budget process
- Sourcing vendors and bidding project work; collaborating with vendors to deliver projects on schedule and budget
- Assessing and prioritizing capital expenditure issues and opportunities
- Driving projects that enhance asset value of the portfolio
- Communicating project status and risk exposure to Operations and senior management
- Preparing financial analysis and presentations of capital investment recommendations
- Applying industry/market/product knowledge to drive revenue production and business growth
- Aiding in the development of strategy and objectives for your business area
- Ensuring adherence to construction best practices and environmental protocols
- Making complex risk decisions using solid risk management skills
- Traveling up to 25%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
- 5+ years’ Project/Construction Management experience
- Civil Engineering background is preferred
- Experience in commercial, residential, or multi-family real estate
- Strong communication skills, especially in business case writing and presentations
- High energy, ability to handle high volume of diverse projects, flexibility to deal with daily changes, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in comprehensive utilities programs including water, wastewater, and recycled water systems
- Knowledge of investment metrics like NPV and IRR
- Ability to perform calculations and analyze statistics
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to draw valid conclusions
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Leadership skills
- Experience in relevant areas such as operations, services, and activities of comprehensive utilities programs
Qualifications
- Experience in the utility administration operations field
- Understanding of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations, particularly those related to water, wastewater, and reclamation systems

Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this position in the states of BC, CA, CO, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT, and WA is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00. The salary offered varies based on factors including education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Some positions may also be eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
