Construction Management, Open Rank Tenure Line Faculty

About the role

The Department of Engineering Technology at Texas State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor in the Construction Science and Management (CSM) and Concrete Industry Management (CIM) programs, beginning in Fall 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as departmental needs require.
• Conduct research and secure external funding.
• Establish an independent research program and publish in areas appropriate for construction and an emerging research institution.
• Engage undergraduate and graduate students in research activities and supervise graduate students.
• Participate in appropriate service activities at the program, department, university, and professional levels.

Requirements

• PhD in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in teaching and research in construction management, with a focus on heavy civil, highway, and/or industrial construction.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
