Construction Management Internship

Program Overview

Polk Mechanical’s Internship Program (Summer 2027) offers a paid, on‑site and in‑office experience that blends job‑site work, personal growth, and formal training. Interns finish with hands‑on experience, industry exposure, and insight into success in mechanical construction.

Program Components

• Team Building Activities: Outings designed for bonding with teammates and fellow interns.
• On‑the‑Job Workbook: The i3 Workbook serves as a roadmap covering tasks, concepts, and qualities needed for Assistant Project Managers.
• Field Trips: Visits to job sites, vendor tours, and industry events.
• Intern Roundtable Discussions: Regular sessions for sharing experiences and feedback with peers and program coordinators.
• Professional Development Sessions: Formal training to build business acumen and interpersonal skills.

Job Conditions

The internship is primarily based at Polk’s DFW Headquarters (2425 Dillard St., Grand Prairie, TX 75051) with limited openings in Houston and Austin.

Eligibility

We are seeking students in their junior or senior year of a degree program.

• Majors/Areas of Study: Construction Management/Science or related engineering fields.
• Interest areas: Project Management, Estimating, Field Leadership, and VDC.
