Essential Job Duties

  • Creating implementing and overseeing temporary wayfinding strategies that support pedestrian flow and user experience.
  • Assessing signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards, with the ability to recommend sign types specific to each project.
  • Managing multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multi-disciplinary teams, including staff with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Coordinating across various disciplines, meeting multiple deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Reading, interpreting, and analyzing project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans.
  • Evaluating signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations to maintain effective wayfinding.
  • Working with various signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specifications.
  • Working with signage, temporary wayfinding, and mapping industry best practices.
  • Reviewing projects' submittals Phasing Plan and Site Logistics Plans as submitted through the shut down requests processes with a keen eye for wayfinding impacts.
  • Strong visualization skills. Developing concepts, location plans, and proposed wayfinding paths of travel with high visual impact.
  • Proficient in planning, production, and installation of temporary wayfinding that translates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
  • Working with installation procedures, including regular site walks to evaluate signage effectiveness and updates to plans as needed.
  • Tracking phasing for production, and installation schedules across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and an integrated approach across projects.
  • Verifying the quality and consistency of signage and wayfinding elements, ensuring visual appeal and usability across all materials.
  • Managing layout and information design, including the formatting of wayfinding plans, maps, newsletters, flyers, stakeholder updates, and presentation materials.
  • Applying visual hierarchy, consistency, readability, and brand/program standards to ensure materials are clear, professional, and audience appropriate.
  • Writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical or field-based information to both project teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working in Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam for creating, editing, and reviewing visual materials and layouts.
  • Working in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) for project communication, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Federal background check required.

Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years or more experience on airport building programs or similar complex building programs.
  • Two (2+) or more years of airport experience in creating implementing and overseeing temporary wayfinding strategies that support pedestrian flow and user experience.
  • Experience managing multiple collaborative wayfinding projects with multidisciplinary teams, including staff with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans.
  • Capable of evaluating signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations to maintain effective wayfinding.
  • In-depth understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specifications.
  • Knowledge of signage, temporary wayfinding, and mapping industry best practices.
  • Ability to review projects' submittals Phasing Plan and Site Logistics Plans as submitted through the shut down requests with a keen eye for wayfinding impacts.

Software/Hardware Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) for project communication, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Bluebeam for creating, editing, and reviewing visual materials and layouts. scheduling, and documentation.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, or any relevant Professional Licensure or Certifications.

Compensation

This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $104,140.00 - $114,140.00 and commensurate with skill, education, experience, and work location. This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
