Construction Loan Accountant

Responsibilities

• Processing loan closings and managing the funding of loans from construction closing to permanent conversion
• Receiving and processing loan fees and refunds
• Maintaining various loan security instruments and tracking renewals or extensions
• Reviewing and processing monthly construction draw disbursements and loan closing disbursements for accuracy
• Coinciding draw funding with internal staff and title agents
• Communicating with borrower, title company, and other parties to review Virginia Housing policies and requirements
• Maintaining and tracking letters of credit and incoming wires, depositing checks and wiring funds

Requirements

• Aceessory’s degree in Accounting or similar field or relevant work experience
• Several years’ experience in Accounting functions in the construction industry and/or managing project budgets
• Strong communication, time management, and analytical skills including attention to detail
• The ability to work independently without significant supervision and process multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed to meet mission critical deadlines

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or similar field or relevant work experience
• Several years’ experience in Accounting functions in the construction industry and/or managing project budgets

Pay

Hiring Range: $62,000 - $83,500

Hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
