Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain job cost reports and project accounting schedules
- Analyze project costs, budgets, commitments, and change orders
- Aid in month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain monitoring of project profitability and work-in-progress reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with operations teams to review project performance and cost trends
- Aid in audits and financial reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction, project-based, manufacturing, or job-cost accounting experience
- Experience with Sage
- Experience with Procore
- Familiarity with work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and project accounting
