Construction Laborer

Job Summary

We’re seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer to join our hardworking team! This position involves working outdoors, helping with a variety of tasks including site preparation, landscaping, and general labor, on active restoration sites across the Southeast.

Responsibilities

• Install erosion and sediment control measures on stream restoration, stormwater, utility, or heavy civil construction projects
• Operate a variety of tools, including power tools and landscape equipment, to perform critical tasks on-site
• Work hands-on to implement erosion and sediment control measures, following detailed specifications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure safety around the work area
• Set-up and maintenance of bypass water pumping & work area dewatering

Requirements

• Experience installing erosion and sediment control measures on stream restoration, stormwater, utility, or heavy civil construction projects is required
• This position requires weekly travel throughout the Southeast, with overnight stays typically occurring Monday through Friday based on project location

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills
• Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level

Skills

• Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment
• Quick learner with the ability to take on new tasks effectively
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to interpret and follow detailed work specifications
• Familiarity with basic hand tools or landscape equipment
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule
