Construction Laborer

About the role

Champion Construction Service (CCS) is seeking an experienced and reliable construction laborer to join the team. The Laborer will participate in all aspects of the on-site assembly of manufactured housing and will report directly to a Construction Crew Lead.

Responsibilities

• Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
• Keeps area and site organized and clean.
• Reads and uses a tape measure.
• Reads blueprints and orders materials.
• Communicates well with coworkers.
• Uses hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools.
• Represents Champion with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic.
• The ability to work quickly and methodically.
• A basic understanding of safety procedures.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Understands and lives Champion’s Operating Principles.
• Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of houses or buildings.
• Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Available to work Monday through Saturday.
• Passes a pre-employment drug screen.
