About the role

Construction Intern McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Construction Intern to join the Construction Management – Heavy Civil team. The intern will have a hands-on experience, participating in end-to-end construction operations, working with mentors from estimating to field engineering.

Responsibilities

• Apply academic learning to real-world situations
• Develop project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Become familiar with the different facets of construction of large civil design-build projects
• Learn McMillen’s business within the water resources industry

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Strong academic performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Passport and travel authorization required for some assignments

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of construction techniques and materials
