Construction Internship

About the role

Arbor is one of the fastest-growing new home builders in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled intern to contribute to providing even better experiences and higher-quality projects.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Superintendent in managing all aspects of the job site related to home construction.
• Learn and comprehend the entire home building process and its schedule.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, pre-drywall meetings, orientation walks, and closing walks.
• Attend weekly phone calls with buyers undergoing construction to improve their experience and boost customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a consistent state of readiness at the job site each day, including cleaning houses, garages, lots, and common areas.
• Ensure on-site safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Gain insight into the general operations of the division, both internally and externally, which will supplement the learning experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Two years of collegiate coursework (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level)
• Ability to follow directions
• Understanding of a high-quality, timely build resulting in a signed-off home and satisfied homeowner
• Effective communication and follow-up skills
• A sense of urgency and proactive approach
