Responsibilities
- Inspect and oversee construction of bridges, buildings, dams, highways and other construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications
- Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts
- Verify alignment and elevation of installations
- Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials conform to specifications
- Examine quality of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation
- Interpret contract drawings and specifications and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction
- Record material quantities received and used; maintain daily log of construction/inspection activities
- Compute monthly estimates of work completed
Prerequisites for Employment
- NICET certification
- ASCE or education equal
- Valid driver's license
- Previous experience with SiteManager is highly preferred
- Highly motivated
- Detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work without employer sponsorship
