Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work of all construction subtrades in conjunction with the main office.
  • Arrange, monitor and be present for agency inspections.
  • Read and comprehend information contained in architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscape drawings and specifications.
  • Review shop drawings and other reports prepared by testing and inspection agencies.
  • Prepare daily report forms, and progress photographs.
  • Working knowledge familiarity with computer operating systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; and opening, preparing, scanning, printing, and sending PDF files and other documents.
  • Actively engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers and local officials, when needed, to problem solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes.
  • Enforce job site safety standards.
  • Review all construction documentation, owner building standards and finish schedules to execute on site.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP trade drawings.
  • Well organized and ability to forecast all upcoming scopes of work for timely completion.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, understanding that your scheduled workdays may vary according to staffing and project needs.
  • Maintain neat, well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Build confidence in owners and developers in anticipation of continued project opportunities.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
  • Ability to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to: ability to walk property, including up to 7 flights of stairs, to complete physical inspections.

Requirements

  • Education: BS Degree in Construction Management or related field or high school diploma or GED with 10+ years of related experience.
  • 7+ years experience in large scale multifamily or commercial ground up construction.
  • Complete understanding of the construction process.
  • Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to complete projects on time.
  • Knowledge of current building codes and ADA laws.
  • Experience with site construction, precast, wood framing, MEP trades, and interior finishes.
  • A demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods.
  • Experience in alternative building methods and value engineering.
  • Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Microsoft Project scheduling software.
  • Bluebeam.
  • Procore construction management software.
  • Ability to work independently leading a small team overseeing the entire construction life cycle.

Pay

Pay Range: $121,500 - $163,100. Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
