Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Perform quantity takeoffs to forecast material needs.
- Track and inventory materials delivered to job sites.
- Assist with layout and site setup for equipment and infrastructure installation.
- Work with the Superintendent to develop safe and efficient installation strategies.
- Enter and maintain daily logs, including weather conditions, progress photos, and equipment reports.
- Track weather delays and report time and material changes or field orders.
- Support job-site safety by performing inspections and enforcing corrections.
- Conduct safety inspections of tools, equipment, and scaffolding.
- Lead or assist in weekly toolbox talks—including documentation and signoffs with subcontractors.
- Compile submittals and documentation to support proper installation by crews and subs.
- Prepare and finalize red-lined as-built drawings.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Project Superintendent.
- Effectively communicate with field teams, superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors.
- Report directly to the Project Superintendent while supporting other field and office personnel.
- Document and share critical field data to support schedule, safety, and performance tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of surveying, site layout, and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills—comfortable working with field crews, project managers, and stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset—able to adapt quickly, ask the right questions, and solve problems in the moment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience on water or wastewater infrastructure projects is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and track materials.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and adaptability.
