Construction Equipment Technician / Mechanic

From dozers and telehandlers to aerial lifts and specialty jobsite equipment, our technicians help ensure crews have safe, reliable equipment to perform their best work every day. We're seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Technician / Mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting problems, performing quality repairs, and taking ownership of their work.
This position offers hands-on experience with a diverse range of equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulic components, and electrical controls. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled service
- Troubleshoot equipment performance concerns and determine root causes
- Repair and maintain construction and jobsite equipment
- Inspect equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
- Complete maintenance records and repair documentation
- Support equipment readiness for active construction projects
- Repair and maintain diesel, gasoline, and LP-powered equipment
- Work closely with operations teams to prioritize equipment needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Follow manufacturer recommendations and company maintenance standards
- Promote safe work practices and equipment reliability

- Diesel, gasoline, and LP-powered equipment
- Hydraulic systems and components
- Electrical systems and controls
- Small engines and specialty construction equipment
- Jobsite support equipment and tools
Requirements
- Required Experience repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on aerial equipment, telehandlers, or material-handling equipment
- Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
- Diesel engine maintenance experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Basic personal mechanic tools
- Chauffeur's License or willingness to obtain one

Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a maintenance shop and equipment service environment and may include:

Physical Requirements
