Construction Equipment Shop Technician

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all types of earthmoving and construction equipment
• Independently and successfully diagnose and repair equipment
• Communicate and problem solve with customers to ensure satisfaction

Qualifications

• Relevant working experience or graduate of a technical or military school
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics
• Welding experience
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good human relations skills and abilities
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, injury, and atmospheric conditions
• Physical requirements: stamina; sitting; standing; climbing; walking; lifting; pulling/pushing; carrying; grasping; reaching; stooping; crouching; listening; speaking
• Good motor coordination; coordination of eyes, hands, and feet; verbal and numerical intelligence
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
