Construction Equipment Shop Technician

About the role

We're growing and looking for a talented Construction Equipment Shop Tech to join our team at ACT Construction Equipment. Our customers rely on our techs to provide planned maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues to keep their heavy equipment in top-notch condition.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned maintenance and repairs to construction and compact construction equipment
• Diagnose and resolve hydraulic device and hydrostatic operating system issues
• Perform electrical/CAN Bus troubleshooting
• Assist with gas and diesel engine repairs
• Use computer technology for diagnostic testing
• Apply basic welding skills as needed
• Understand and troubleshoot Auto A/C systems
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
• Operate a CDL or Class B license if required

Requirements

• Experience with construction or compact construction equipment repair
• Working knowledge of hydraulic devices and hydrostatic operating systems
• Electrical/CAN Bus troubleshooting experience
• Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines
• Basic welding skills
• Auto A/C system knowledge and experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Full set of mechanics tools and basic electrical test equipment
• Acceptable driving record (may need to assist road tech)

Pay

$23 - $45 per hour
